I'm sure this is a common cooking apparatus somewhere, maybe even on the summer streets of NYC, I do not know. All I know is that I got that special feeling inside when I saw it this past weekend on Broadway, near Gramercy. The brilliance of this meat-cage-über-grill consists in it's simplistic, almost medieval execution of a primal satisfaction--cooking vast amounts of meat over an open flame. Am I easily impressed? Very Likely. However, on behalf of all carnivores everywhere, I will immediately begin plans for a portable, folding version of the m.c.u.g. Meat grillers unite! Start preparing for your next back yard bbq, camping trip or tribal gathering.
