I've just become aware of French artist Françoise Nielly. Her portraits are absolutely stunning. Armed with oil and knife she sculpts her pieces with sensual and explosive color. The Mightiest Crumb was fortuitously strolling past as the marc by marc show was getting out. As the who's who of fashion editors and socialites made their exodus to the streets, I managed to have a close encounter and snap a photo of none other than Carine Roitfeld, editor in chief for French Vogue. Ms. Roitfeld is one of my favorite figures in the industry and I think that she and her daughter Julia make a stunning French fashion duo. Voila!
